Welcome to Mairnéalaigh
Mairnéalaigh is Gaelic for “sailing the seas, navigating by the stars.”
For a combined total of 52 years, Jane and Joseph Benedetto sailed
the seas while serving in the United States Navy, so Mairnéalaigh
is a fitting name for their kennel. Now retired from the Navy, they
are enjoying life in Charlotte, NC.
Seven years ago they got their first Irish Red and White Setter,
Aislingcudo Is Treasa Fionnrua (Treasa) and have been enamored
with the breed ever since. They now share their home with four
Red and Whites, and a 16 year old mixed breed.
